Thursday morning on Live with Kelly and Ryan, Kelly Ripa asked Grey's Anatomy star Chandra Wilson which was easier, playing a doctor on TV or playing a teacher in real life, after Wilson explained how she had to put on her tutor hat once work and school shut down back in March for the pandemic.
"Oh, my, a doctor anyday," Wilson answered. "Let me tell you, kids are not meant to teach themselves. They are not meant to do it, and you know, bless their hearts for folks that can do the correspondence school and all that, but it's not for everybody. It's just not. You need to have an advocate. You need to have somebody there with you to make sure that you're turning things in on time and that you're organized. Somebody needs to do that. So, you know, shout out to the parents that are making this thing happen for the time being, but that's a full time job."
Grey's Anatomy returns for its 17th season tonight, November 12 at 9:00 PM ET on ABC.
