DeLuca Says His Final Goodbye to Meredith on Grey's Anatomy

After a six year run, Grey's Anatomy said goodbye to Giacomo Giannioti's Dr. Andrew DeLuca in dramatic fashion Thursday night, after he was stabbed in pursuit of the child trafficking ringleader Opal, and died of complications on the operating table.

Given this season's theme of Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) stranded on a beach while she remains attached to a ventilator in real life, DeLuca found his way to that beach for a heartfelt farewell before he moved on to whatever comes next for him, alongside his loving mother.

Grey's Anatomy airs Thursday nights at 9:00 PM ET on ABC.
