Ed Sheeran Breaks Down the NSFW Prank He Plays on Courteney Cox

It's no secret that Courteney Cox and Ed Sheeran are close friends, but last night, the singer revealed just how close the two are during an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden. Sheeran explained that for the past few years, he's been jokingly buying Cox gimp masks, or a "leather S&M mask," and hiding them around her house for guests to find. Those poor guests...

On Monday night, Sheeran kicked off his weeklong Late Late Show residency with a NSFW story about Cox, who he met in 2013. The two immediately hit it off, and before long, she gave him a standing invitation to stay at her Malibu home whenever he was in town. During one visit, Cox showed Sheeran "this Alexa thing" that allows you to easily order items off Amazon, and a prank came to him.

"Do you know what a gimp mask is? You know, like an S&M leather gimp mask?" he asked Corden. "So she walks out of the room, and I go, 'Alexa, order me a gimp mask.'"

"Unbeknownst to me, Courteney's assistant found it," the singer continued. "She opened the post and she finds this mask, and instantly goes, 'Oh, I don't think I was meant to see that' and leaves it on Courteney's bed. And Courteney comes up and she's like, 'Where did this come from?'"

Of course, the prank didn't end there. "She found out the story, and now, every time I go back there I order her another gimp mask," Sheeran explained. "She has maybe, like, 12. I hide them in people's bedrooms. So they'll go in the drawer and find this leather S&M mask. She had two people come and look at her piano to try and buy it, two absolute strangers going into her house that I found out about. So I left a couple of masks on the piano."
