Janet Jackson Got Busted for Shoplifting in a Good Times Christmas Episode

You wouldn't expect Janet Jackson to ever have to shoplift. Even when she was 11 years old back in 1977, her brothers were already massive Motown stars. 

But as Penny on the groundbreaking show Good Times, she didn't have things as good. When she gets robbed of the money she was going to use to buy her adoptive mother a Christmas gift, she goes ahead and steals the gift she was going to buy, and gets busted for it. The incident even threatens her adoption, until a Christmas party saves the day.

Good Times ran from 1974-1979 on CBS.
