Season 14 American Idol finalist and popular TikToker Jax posted a pre-Thanksgiving treat for Friends fans this morning, one that involves a special appearance from one of the show's most memorable characters: Janice Litman-Goralnik (née Hosenstein, previously Litman).
In the video, Jax performs a version of the Friends theme from Janice's perspective, in which she expounds on the show's "one mistake" — "Chandler and Monica went together well," she sings. "But I think Chandler should have ended up with someone else..."
Enter Maggie Wheeler, the actress who played Chandler's foghorn-voiced on-again off-again girlfriend on the show, who utters her famous line "Oh my Gawd!" before joining Jax for the re-written chorus of the song, "Chandler, I'll wait for you."
Wheeler recurred in nineteen episodes of the series, behind only James Michael Tyler' Gunther (150 episodes) and Eliott Gould' Jack Geller (20 episodes). When we last saw Janice, in the show's third-to-last episode "The One Where Estelle Dies," Chandler and Monica are looking to buy a house in the suburbs and nearly move in right next door to that familiar voice. Wheeler was also among the many familiar faces who joined the show's cast earlier this year for HBO Max's Friends: The Reunion.
