Star Trek: Discovery: The Moment Burnham Finds Out the Federation Doesn't Exist

Star Trek: Discovery is not known for pulling its punches, and this clip from the Season 3 premiere shows a punch straight to the gut of Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) when she learns that the Federation she once served no longer exists.

At the end of the last season, the crew of the USS Discovery traveled 900 years into the future. Burnham is learning about her new surroundings with the help of Cleveland "Book" Booker (David Ajala). When he tells her the Federation badge on her shirt means "you believe in ghosts," she soon learns the devastating truth.
