On the Click Bait with Bachelor Nation podcast, Season 24 contestant Tammy Ly was asked how being a person of color may have affected the perception of her as a "villain" during her time trying to get with Peter Weber on The Bachelor.
"I've thought about this a lot," Ly said. "I am an aggressive personality. You know, I'm very loud, I'm a New Yorker, Gemini, but I can see why the things that I did portrayed me as a villain, but I feel like it was ten times worse because people aren't familiar with people of color speaking out and not being a secondary character."
She also cited Serena C.'s beef with Katie resulting in her getting bullied on the current season of The Bachelor. "I feel like people, the viewers are very uncomfortable with seeing people of color with a more... louder personality. That's just my opinion."
The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8:00 PM ET on ABC.
