Earlier this year it was announced that Sony is developing a sequel series to the 1984-92 sitcom Who's The Boss?, the show where Tony Danza was Judith Light's live-in housekeeper.
The original show gently explored gender stereotypes of the era by putting the macho street-tough guy in the domestic nurturing role while the matriarch was out dealing with the corporate world and financially supporting everyone. What is not commonly known is that one time Tony Micelli was repeatedly possessed by an undead spirit from the great beyond.
True, it was all part of an aspiring angel's attempt to get into heaven by mending the rift she caused between Mona (Katherine Helmond) and her brother Archie (Gordon Jump), but it's still surprisingly metaphysical for a generally down-to-earth show.
You can watch that very episode above, and see if you're charmed enough to want to find out what Tony and Samantha (Alyssa Milano) are up to when the revival rolls around.
Andy Hunsaker has a head full of sitcom gags and nerd-genre lore, and can be followed @AndyHunsaker if you're into that sort of thing.
