The Goldbergs Take On "Take On Me"

In this clip from Wednesday night's The Goldbergs, Adam (Sean Giambrone) is creating his own animated version of the famous A-ha video from the 1980s, "Take On Me." 

Rather than being a romantic adventure story about comic books come to life, instead it's his mother Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey) he's trying to save from the cartoon netherworld, and the bad guys "who are dressed like French Grand Prix race car drivers for some reason," according to Adam. In this instance, the bad guy is portrayed by Pops (George Segal), who audibly wonders if "rotoscoping" is something that hurts.

The Goldbergs airs Wednesdays at 8:00 PM ET on ABC.
