The Office Actor Mark York Leads a Disability Awareness Meeting

In what has become one of The Office's most iconic episodes, Billy Merchant, played by the late Mark York, leads a "disability awareness meeting" for the Dunder Mifflin team. The episode (Season 2, Episode 14) marked his first appearance as Billy Merchant, manager of the Scranton Business Park, and he continued to guest star until Season 6, when Dwight (Rainn Wilson) purchases the complex from him.

York, who has been paraplegic since 1988, died on May 19 following a brief and unexpected illness. He was 55 years old.
