In an impressive dedication to ostentation, 22 year-old Chas Fiore won Wednesday night's season premiere of ABC's The Great Christmas Light Fight by not only decorating his giant home in Wilmington MA, but augmenting it with his own custom town and decorating each building in it with a different theme.
Host Taniya Nayak was blown away by the meticulously designed faux Main Street. "I've never seen anything like this. This isn't just great for a 22-year-old. This is just great."
So what's it take to win the $50,000 prize on an episode of The Great Christmas Light Fight? In Fiore's case, a methodical attention to detail certainly didn't hurt.
"All of these lights on the walls, they're all spaced 2 and a half inches throughout the entire display" he explained. "The reason I chose 2 and a half inches is because the lights on a strand, the bulbs are spaced 2 and a half inches from the factory. So I spaced the strands 2 and a half inches."
The Great Christmas Light Fight airs on ABC Wednesday nights through December at 9:00 PM ET.
