Tooning Out the News Nailed Election Night 2020

Mining election night for comedy is always a tricky proposition, and last night was no different, with both Stephen Colbert and Trevor Noah airing angsty live specials that critics say fell flat.

At the opposite end of the spectrum was Colbert's Late Show spin-off Tooning Out the News on CBS All Access, which landed some seriously biting one-liners as it satirized the frenetic energy of the cable news on their biggest night.

In the clip above, TOTN's resident Hannity cheers on Trump's 2am press conference: "Aw hell ya, he's doin it! He's going full autocrat. Get this man a jaguar on a leash and a ten foot tall golden toilet!"
