Arriving on the eve of its premiere, this new promo for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier steps away from the buddy comedy vibes seen in recent previews to focus on the deeper themes of the six episode series.
We hear more from Zemo (Daniel Brühl) about his crusade. "The danger with superheroes, they become icons. Wars are fought, movements are formed."
Erin Kellyman, who is playing a mystery character who may or may not be Sin, the daughter of the Red Skull, gets her first lines as well, ominously saying "Not until its symbols are dead and replaced." Even Zemo seems troubled by her, saying "she will escalate, and will not stop."
We also hear a speech from Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), possibly at a memorial service for Steve Rogers, saying "We need new heroes. Ones suited for the times we're in. Courageous. Righteous. The best in all of us.... The only power I have is that I believe we can do better."
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier premieres Friday, March 19 on Disney+.
