It was only a matter of time before the women of The View sounded off on Sen. Ted Cruz's apparent jealousy over Pete Davidson's dating life. On Monday morning, the co-hosts mocked Cruz for asking how Davidson gets "all of these hot women," including Kate Beckinsale, whom the senator described as a "super hot vampire in [a] black leather trench coat" in a recent episode of his podcast. "At night he has these fantasies of her in these leathers and this S&M thing going on!" said Joy Behar.
As Whoopi Goldberg introduced the Hot Topic, she warned Cruz's wife, Heidi, that "this is the second time he's just not paid any attention to what you might be feeling." The ladies proceeded to riff on the bizarre clip, which seemed to hinge on a discussion of "toxic femininity" between Cruz and his co-host, Michael Knowles. "This gives me the heebie-jeebies," said Ana Navarro. "It is so creepy and so disgusting."
"He might be wanting to say, 'How come that dude on SNL,' I want to know, how come that dude is a U.S. Senator and is doing a podcast and spends so much time trolling on Twitter?" she continued. "Does he think that he's gonna lead by being a social media influencer? I agree with you — how disrespectful can it be to his wife and his daughters?"

But leave it to Behar to take things up a notch. "I don't understand why he's fantasizing about going to Cancun with Kate Beckinsale?" she said, noting that Cruz must be having "S&M" fantasies about the Underworld actress.
"The reason that women like Pete Davidson is because he is funny," she added. "Ted Cruz, you're funny because people laugh at you. Pete Davidson, people are laughing with him. And that's the difference."
When Navarro added that Davidson is also "probably not a hypocritical jerk," Behar circled back to the morning's first topic, abortion. "By the way, Ted Cruz has long advocated for criminalizing abortion," she said. "I don't think that's a turn-on to women, Teddy."
