Wait, is summer over already? What other conclusion can we come to faced with the season finale of FOX's Paradise Hotel. The original Paradise Hotel ran all summer in 2003, replenishing its lineup of sexy, squabbling singles as the weeks went on. Alas, this Kristin Cavillari-hosted reboot is tapping out at a scant seven episodes.
SEASON FINALE: At the very least, a winner will be revealed on the Paradise Hotel season finale. As with most dating competition shows that aren't The Bachelor, there is likely to be a separation between winning the money and winning a chance at lasting love with someone you just met on a game show. Not that taking the money is a no-brainer in this situation but … yes, it is. 8:00 PM ET on FOX
SPECIAL PRESENTATION: HBO's new documentary The Cold Blue offers a look at the Air Force pilots of World War II from a perspective few have ever seen. Having remastered footage shot by legendary filmmaker William Wyler during the war, when he was embedded with the pilots on their mission, this documentary shows the great war from high above the ground. Anybody who watched and enjoyed Netflix's excellent Five Came Back will recall Wyler's films made for the war effort; this is the deeper dive you've been looking for. 8:00 PM ET on HBO
SEASON PREMIERE: The fourth season of crime drama Queen of the South kicks off tonight, as we continue to follow the tale of Teresa Mendoza (Alice Braga), as she expands her drug empire. Look for some New Orleans-set drama as Teresa encounters new enemies and has to make some big decisions. 10:00 PM ET on USA
SERIES PREMIERE: If you're sick of home-renovation shows that focus on the happy (if squabbling) couple looking for their dream home, you are in luck. Unspouse My House focuses on newly single people who think a quick home renovation can heal their broken heart. In other words, if you think that Kristen from Vanderpump Rules buying her own home was an inspirational win for single people worldwide, this could be your show. 9:30 PM ET on HGTV
