The show that introduced the world to Meghan Markle begins its ninth and final season, while at the same time kicking off a spin-off that's clearly designed to carry the torch moving forward. That and more in our TV picks for today, Wednesday July 17th:
SEASON PREMIERE: The Zane Specter Litt Wheeler Williams law firm is on the ropes after last season when Robert Zane took the fall to save Harvey (Gabriel Macht). Now, Harvey, Donna (Sarah Rafferty), Samantha (Katherine Heigl), and the whole firm will have to band together to save the firm as Suits rolls towards its series finale … and original Suits star Patrick J. Adams will return before it's all said and done. 9:00 PM ET on USA
SERIES PREMIERE: If you're worried about Suits withdrawal, don't fret. You've got a spinoff series to turn to in Pearson. Gina Torres reprises her role as Jessica Pearson, who was disbarred for her actions on Suits but is now dusting herself off and entering the world of Chicago politics, where disbarment is practically a prerequisite. 10:00 PM ET on USA
SPECIAL PRESENTATION: The truly impressive wave of programming comemorating the 50th anniversary of the moon landing this week is something to behold. You knew PBS would be a strong performer, and 8 Days: To the Moon and Back doesn't disappoint, taking viewers inside the Apollo 11 spacecraft for a spectacular recreation of the first moon landing. 9:00 PM ET on PBS
SPECIAL PRESENTATION: If you're going to watch one shark-related bit of programming tonight, make it Nat Geo's Man vs. Shark, where one man tests out his state-of-the-art armored suit and goes underwater to do battle with sharks. 10:00 PM ET on Nat Geo
