Today marks the 50th anniversary of the Apollo moon landing. In tribute to that historic achievement, many of the day's programs relate to mankind's first walk on the moon. Here are the highlights.

This Two hour special tells the story of the Apollo 11 mission using never-before-seen footage, archival material from NASA and The National Archives, and news reports from the time of the event. 8:00 PM ET on Discovery
CABLE PREMIERE: HBO's big Saturday night movie premiere this week is First Man. Ryan Gosling reteams with La La Land director Damien Chazelle to tell the life story of Neil Armstrong and his journey to becoming the first man to walk on the moon. 8:00 PM ET on HBO
