Jimmy Kimmel returns from his summer-long TV sabbatical this Sunday to host what promises to be a unique Emmy Awards ceremony -- one that both honors and reflects the changing face of television production amid the pandemic. Also: Carla the bounty hunter leads the ladies to their prey in Love Fraud, Love in Halifax returns after a three year break, and NXIVM gets unwanted media exposure in The Vow. Here's what's new and noteworthy on TV this weekend:

    SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 18

LIVE AWARDS SHOW: Traditionally home to the TV Academy's less showy award categories, this year's Creative Arts Emmy Awards are ground zero for some of the year's most talked-about shows. Nailed It's Nicole Byer hosts the live 90-minute virtual ceremony. 8:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM PT on FXX

FIGHT NIGHT: Heated rivals vie for a shot at the super welterweight crown as #1 contender Erickson Lubin takes on US Olympian Terrell Gausha in a special edition of Showtime Boxing. Undercard matchups see Tugstsogt Nyambayar stepping into the ring against Cobia Breedy, and Jaron Ennis facing Juan Carlos Abreu. 9:00 PM ET / 6:00 PM PTon Showtime

CABLE PREMIERE: HBO's big Saturday night movie premiere this week is The Invisible Man. Elizabeth Moss (Mad Men) stars as a woman who escapes her abusive boyfriend (Oliver Jackson-Cohen), only to receive word that he has committed suicide shortly afterward. In truth, it seems he has made himself invisible in order to continue terrorizing her undetected. Watch the trailer. 8:00 PM ET on HBO

MADE FOR TV MOVIE: Hallmark kicks off its "Fall Harvest" film series with Love at Daisy Hills, in which Cindy Busby (Supernatural) agrees to work with her ex (Marshall Williams) to help save her father's general store, but it isn't long before the two of them are ready to tear up the sheets. Excel spreadsheets, that is. 9:00 PM ET on Hallmark

MADE FOR TV MOVIE: After agreeing to carry a baby for superstar Ava Von Richter (Brianne Davis) and her husband in The Secret Life of a Celebrity Surrogate, surrogate mother Olivia (Carrie Wampler) gets a look at the couple's private life and realizes she's in serious danger. 8:00 PM ET on Lifetime

RECAP EPISODE: Love Island wrapped up its Casa Amor twist this week, sending the bulk of the new Islanders home — only to eliminate another four cast members at week's end. Find out who's still around going into next week in Saturday's two-hour recap show. 8:00 PM ET on CBS

    SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 19

LIVE AWARDS SHOW: Exactly how this year's remotely-produced 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards will work remains to be seen, but producers are promising it will not resemble a Zoom call. (For his part, host Jimmy Kimmel says he's expecting it be some combination of the Emmys and Big Brother, which sounds about right.) As for who should win and who will win, we've got you covered. 8:00 PM ET/5:00 PM PT on ABC

NFL FOOTBALL: Despite a strong start against the Miami Dolphins last week, the New England Patriots are the road underdogs going into Sunday Night Football tonight, as they take on the Seattle Seahawks at home. 8:20 PM ET / 5:20 PM PT on NBC

DOCUSERIES FINALE: In the final episode of Love Fraud, Carla the bounty hunter helps Richard Scott Smith's victims corner the man who deceived them, even as it becomes clear there are more victims out there. Watch the preview. 9:00 PM ET on Showtime

NEW EPISODE: The Head of Household competition had only just gotten underway when we exited Thursday's Big Brother. Tonight, we'll see who took control of the power position in the house, and whether the Committee will continue to dominate over Da'Vonne, Kevin, and David. Meanwhile, tune in to see if Nicole is still crying over being "forced" to evict Ian. 8:00 PM ET on CBS

NEW EPISODE: With Johnny and Cely's relationship on the ropes, how will Love Island's latest recoupling treat the fan favorite couple? And is there anything that can stand in Justine and Caleb's way of winning at season's end? 9:00 PM ET on CBS

SEASON PREMIERE: After a three year break, Last Tango in Halifax returns to find Caroline (Sarah Lancashire) moving into an old farmhouse just before the holidays. Meanwhile, Gillian (Nicola Walker) is convinced a spirit is haunting her. Watch the preview. 8:00 PM ET on PBS

NEW EPISODE: The fog of war settles over Lovecraft Country in an episode titled "Meet Me in Daegu." Watch the preview. 9:00 PM ET on HBO

NEW EPISODE: While Allison Mack's involvement in NXIVM is common knowledge by now, the number of familiar faces who pop up in the Showtime's docuseries on the cult continues to surprise. In this week's episode of The Vow, believing her daughter is in danger, actress Catherine Oxenberg (of Dynasty fame) goes to The New York Times. 10:00 PM ET on HBO
