For the first time in 20 years, Chris Harrison will not greet Bachelor Nation at the start of a new season. Harrison took a leave of absence from the franchise in the wake of a racial controversy this spring, and in the weeks that followed, ABC tapped former leads Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe to mentor The Bachelorette Season 17 star Katie Thurston, the 30-year-old Washington native who appeared on the most recent season of The Bachelor.
