Disney+ Targets Families with Luca, Netflix Gets Steamy with Elite, and More

TV is offering up a little something for everyone this weekend.

    The streaming-verse offers up fun for the whole family this weekend with a batch of new releases that run the gamut from teen dramas (Elite Season 4) to kid-friendly animation (Luca on Disney+). Adults should also enjoy Rose Byrne’s ‘80s comedy Physical, the cable premiere of Kevin Can F**k Himself, and Evil Season 2 on Paramount+. Here’s what’s new and noteworthy on TV this weekend:

    FRIDAY JUNE 18

    Luca: Set in 1950s Italy, a young boy named Luca (Jacob Tremblay) and his best friend Alberto (Jack Dylan Grazer) adventure along the Italian Riviera and attempt to keep their true identities — they’re both sea monsters from a world below the water’s surface — a secret. The Pixar comedy boasts an impressive supporting voice cast that includes Maya Rudolph, Jim Gaffigan, and Grey’s Anatomy’s Giacomo Gianniotti. Watch trailer. Streaming on Disney+

    Elite: Complete fourth season. Love triangles emerge, alliances are formed, and secrets come to light when a group of new students join the Las Encinas private school community in Season 4 of Netflix’s Spanish-language hit. Watch trailer. Streaming on Netflix

    Physical: Series premiere. Rose Byrne plays a 1980s housewife who finds release through the world of aerobics in this new Apple dramedy from Annie Weisman (Desperate Housewives, The Path).     Big Shot: Season finale. Westbrook is just one win away from Division Two, but first they've got stop rival Carlsbad from stealing their playbook. Streaming on Disney+

    Fatherhood: Original movie. When his wife dies one day after their daughter’s birth, a father (Kevin Hart) must cope with his grief and figure out how to raise their child on his own.     Major League Baseball: Depending on your region, you’ll be able to watch one of three FOX MLB games, all at 7:00 PM ET/4:00 PM PT:
