Television is getting into the spirit this Halloween weekend with a host of spooky releases, including Army of Thieves (a prequel to Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead), Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin, and Doctor Who's Season 13 premiere. Meanwhile, Colin Kaepernick and Ava DuVernay team up for Netflix's Colin in Black & White, Apple TV+ bows its Kevin Durant drama Swagger, and the World Series continues on FOX. Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin: Original film. The Paranormal Activity franchise gets a reboot in this new "found-footage" horror flick about a young woman searching for the truth about her mother, who disappeared years ago. Watch trailer. Streaming on Paramount+
Army of Thieves: Original film. Set during the beginning stages of the zombie outbreak, this Army of the Dead prequel follows safecracker Ludwig Dieter (Matthias Schweighöfer) as he attempts to pull off a heist alongside a misfit crew of aspiring thieves. Colin in Black & White: Complete limited series. Ava DuVernay and Colin Kaepernick explore the football player-turned-activist's high school years in a six-part limited series starring Jaden Michael as a young Colin, Nick Offerman and Mary-Louise Parker as his parents, and Kaepernick as the present-day narrator of his own story. Swagger: Series premiere. Apple TV+ looks to Kevin Durant’s youth for inspiration in its new drama about the world of youth basketball.
