The Apple TV+ series For All Mankind takes place in a world where Russia beat America to the moon, and the international race for space dominance continues as both countries build colonies there.
This time around, we are in 1983, we're moving into space shuttle technology, and there is deep concern that the Soviets are developing a new kind of weapon, as is standard for Cold War paranoia, which can be deployed from their moon colony. Thus new protocols need to be developed govenring "use of force on the moon."
You don't usually see astronauts packing heat, but you will in this new trailer.
Season 2 of For All Mankind premieres February 19 on Apple TV+.
