ABC News suspends veteran correspondent David Wright after a hidden camera caught him criticizing Trump and the network's coverage

Wright was disciplined after the conservative group Project Veritas, which records “undercover” footage of mainstream journalists to bolster its accusations of media bias, caught him saying "I don’t think we’re terribly interested in voters" and referring to President Trump as "the f*cking president." The undercover footage also shows Wright saying he considers himself a "Democratic socialist," and “more than that, I consider myself a socialist.” He also criticizes the corporate synergy of Good Morning America promoting Disney and Marvel movies. The group says the footage was shot during the New Hampshire primary. ABC News said of Wright's suspension: “Any action that damages our reputation for fairness and impartiality or gives the appearance of compromising it harms ABC News and the individuals involved. David Wright has been suspended, and to avoid any possible appearance of bias, he will be reassigned away from political coverage when he returns.”
