The pay cable network originally picked up The Weinstein Company project for 10 episodes one year ago, with Oliver Stone directing the two-hour opening episode. But the Guantanamo Bay detention camp series became embroiled in the Harvey Weinstein sexual misconduct scandal last fall, with Showtime saying it wouldn't proceed with the Weinsteins' involvement.
