The James Corden-hosted CBS reality show promises to show acts that haven't appeared on AGT when it debuts after the Super Bowl. The World's Best will also differentiate itself by using a "wall of the world." "While the talent is going to be the best in the world and similar to Got Talent in some ways, the whole format is completely different — and that’s the biggest change," says producer Mike Darnell, the former Fox executive responsible for bringing American Idol to TV. Darnell also said at the TV press tour: "It’s a competitive industry and no one is more competitive than NBC. That’s why they have America’s Got Talent: The Champions on. That was a direct shot at us. That’s okay; we’re ready for the challenge. We’ve got the next new spin on the variety show.” ALSO: Watch the trailer for The World's Best.
