A 40-year veteran of CBS News, Zirinsky is exepcted to sign a production deal with ViacomCBS that would allow her to produce a wide array of programming for CBS News and beyond. Zirinsky is expected to stay on until her successor is named. As Variety notes, Zirinsky, the first female president of CBS News, took over the division at a fraught time in the aftermath of scandals involving Charlie Rose and 60 Minutes executive producer Jeff Fager.
